Black Box Improv Theater

Since opening in 2012, The Black Box Improv Theater continues to grow in both size and notoriety. The Black Box has teamed up with long-time Second City musical great Trey Stone to provide shows that push the boundaries of what many couldn’t imagine locally trained comedians can do. Northwest of Dayton just off I-70, the Brookville Community Theatre presents everything from comedies and family-friendly musicals to mysteries and touching dramas. A recipient of several DayTony awards for its productions, the theatre operates in a cozy, modern facility that seats 110 people.

Founded in 1962, Dayton Opera has enriched the cultural life of Miami Valley. Throughout the company's history, it has had significant partnerships with other arts organizations, stemming from the need for economic operations and the desire to produce the best-quality opera possible. A desire to support young talent has also been manifest through the company's Artist-in-Residence program, a professional training program.
Dayton Theatre Guild

The mission of the Dayton Theatre Guild is to provide entertainment, encourage the advancement of theatre art and provide the opportunity for cultural and technical growth through experience in live theatre. The Guild has a tradition of producing seldom-seen plays and bringing in contemporary shows and area premieres without forgetting the classics. Its goal is to produce good plays done well, utilizing all-volunteer casts, crews, and administration. Participation is open to anyone passionate about theatre, regardless of prior experience.
Human Race Theatre Company

The Human Race Theatre Company has been delivering the beauty, drama, and excitement of live professional theatre to Dayton and southwestern Ohio since 1986. Its Loft Season provides the region’s audiences with productions of award-winning, cutting-edge dramas, American classics, and regional and world premieres made just for them, and a new works series introduces theatre lovers to plays and musicals currently in development. Additionally, education and engagement programs address the cultural needs of a broad array of citizens throughout the Miami Valley.
Kettering Children's Theater

For over three decades, Kettering Children’s Theatre at Rosewood Arts Center has presented professionally produced and directed youth-oriented productions. The Kettering Children’s Theatre is a non-auditioned theatrical instruction program for students in grades five through nine. The program allows youth of all theatrical levels an equal opportunity to perform on stage. Kettering Children’s Theatre is sponsored by the City of Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department and supported in part by the Ohio Arts Council.
Mad River Theater Works

The mission of Mad River Theater Works is to create and perform inspiring original plays with music that uplift characters from the past, challenging racism, sexism and intolerance. In addition to local and national touring, Mad River conducts hands-on residencies in schools that connect students to the American roots storytelling and music that is the source material for their work. Many performances take place at the Foundry Theatre at Antioch College, where they are a Company in Residence.
